Love your ideas but they are unrealistic if your doing your shopping at only the dollar tree or the dollar store..your not too clear on which your actually buying your goods. Ive been to both and have never been so lucky as to find all of your products your showing here…but i really do appreciate and love your creative ideas..i will be trying them…thank you for posting them and sharing❤

Hi Renee,
Thank you! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the ideas. Most of the materials for these projects come specifically from Dollar Tree. However, as you pointed out, the problem with Dollar Tree stores are that they vary greatly from store to store. Plus, some of these items are seasonal (ex: planters, greenery, succulents, moss). I am fortunate to have found a Dollar Tree within 30 minutes of me that has a huge crafters area with tons of these items but not everyone is that lucky. My advice would be to try different Dollar Trees in your area from time to time so that you can discover products that your local DT doesn’t carry!

I love looking at this stuff.
Some things we can not get at our dollar tree’s 🙁
You are so talented!
prudentpennypincher.com says
Thank you! 🙂 I’m sorry to hear that you can’t find some of the supplies at Dollar Tree. It is hit and miss with local availability 🙁 and it’s too bad that Dollar Tree won’t let people buy from their website without having to buy in bulk!

Carol Bellinger says
Omg. I got lucky and my sweet neighbor give me 6 antique windows this past thanksgiving . 3 pair of different sizes. My daughter came over and painted my living room and decorated with the 2 largest windows. They are beautiful. All I had to do was scrub off flaking paint and seal them.. Now I cant wait to see them in my bedroom..
Justina says
Your projects are not the usual run-of-the-mill creations. I hope you don’t mind but I am stealing a few ideas. Don’t stop creating.
Katie says
How do you hang the window ?
prudentpennypincher.com says
Which project are you referring to? My answer would depend on what specific project you are talking about because different materials weigh different amounts. If you are talking about a wood frame, hooks & eyes screws would work or if it’s a plastic frame from dollar tree, command strips or something similar would work fine.

prudentpennypincher.com says
Hi Elizabeth,
You actually don’t buy them. You make them using craft foam balls, glue gun and boxwood greenery garlands. Unfortunately, the garlands are seasonal (spring) and I’m not sure they have them right now.
