Give your home a spooky makeover with these cheap and easy Dollar Tree Halloween decor DIY ideas. I spend $20 at Dollar Tree and made these 8 halloween projects! A few of the items I already had like the wreath forms, candles and candleholders.
You Will Need These Crafting Supplies:
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- spray paint
- acrylic paint
- paint brushes
- tape
- scissors
Dollar Tree Halloween Wreaths
Orange and Black Halloween Wreath
Supplies
- foam wreath
- black spray paint
- 3 packs of glittery orange and black foam vase fillers
- glue gun
Total Cost – $5
Directions
- Paint the wreath black and let it dry
- Glue the vase fillers on to the foam wreath and fill all gaps. If you want to do both sides of the wreath instead of just one, you will need an extra 2-3 packs of the vase fillers. One side took me about 30-40 minutes.
Haunted Tape Wreath
Supplies
- clear tape
- haunted tape
- foam wreath
Total Cost – $3
Directions
- Wrap haunted tape around wreath, securing the ends with clear tape.
- Cut out a section of the tape with the “HAUNTED” words and attach to each side with clear tape.
Skull Garland Wreath
Supplies
- glittery felt halloween skull decoration
- 3 halloween tinsel garlands
- wire wreath form
- black tinsel stems
- hot glue gun
Total Cost – $6
Directions
- Wrap tinsel garland around the wire wreath and secure to the wreath with the tinsel stems.
- Glue the felt skull decoration to the back of the wreath.
Feather Boa Pumpkin Wreath
Supplies
- 2 orange feather boas
- 2 black feather boas
- pumpkin felt wall decoration
- wire wreath
- orange tinsel stems
- hot glue gun
Total Cost – $7
Directions
- Wrap boa around the wire wreath and secure to the wreath with the tinsel stems.
- Glue the felt pumpkin decoration to the back of the wreath.
Dollar Tree Halloween Candles
Burlap Pumpkin Candle and Glass Bottle
Supplies
- tall jar candle
- glass bottle
- burlap pumpkin treat bags
- hot glue gun
Total Cost – $3
Directions
- Cut bottom 1 inch off of treat bags.
- The burlap pumpkin bag slips over the bottle perfectly, but you have to cut the side off one of the other treat bags and the glue each side around candle jar.
Orange and Black Striped Candle
Supplies
- painter’s tape
- orange and black acrylic paints
- small paint brush
- LED candle
Total Cost $3
Directions
- Put two pieces of tape vertically on opposite sides of candle. If you don’t have painter’s tape, you can use duct tape or shipping tape with the same effect. Any wide tape will work fine.
- Paint each side of the candle black and orange.
- Remove tape after the paint dries.
